Taking the Global Preparedness Index initially I thought it could be beneficial for me to 1st understanding the notion of global mentality, differences between the multiple opinions of what constitutes a global mindset. In my opinion it seems that a global mindset is actually a way of becoming rather than a set of skills. Really an alignment of the world that allows one to find certain issues that other folks do not. This can mean to be able to scan the earth from a broad perspective, constantly looking for unexpected trends and opportunities which may constitute a threat or perhaps an opportunity to accomplish personal, professional or organizational objectives. My global mind-set score was obviously a perfect score of five, that i believe is at part because of my individuality and knowledge. I'm certainly not someone who outdoor tents to hold fast to one way of completing a task, rather getting in the Army has believed me to become more flexible and open to various ways of thinking. An international firm in today's world requirements effective people who can understand the importance of learning more regarding cultures outside their boarders. Companies are demanding top management to understand even more about persons from diverse nation and various culture and never to undervalue the value of ethnic awareness. " Global management competencies” From what I have learned in chapter 3 and chapter some, I was able to complete the assessment collection in Global Readiness Index and testing my result. The issue of global readiness index is testing the phase an individual understanding to the world culture, functioning condition, it is link to the emotion, attitudes and jobs satisfaction of other country and management challenge.
